Free Hearing Aids Pensioners Veterans

Getting your hearing tested even if there is only the slightest chance of hearing loss is a good idea as ongoing monitoring and early intervention is always best.

Our lead Audiologist Alex Dadafarin says “Ideally everyone would get there hearing tested once a year, this way we can see if there is any kind of change as it happens. The sooner someone is fitted with a hearing aid, the better it is for their overall health.’

At AudioHearing we are proud to be Government Accredited and provide free hearing tests and hearing aids Melbourne wide – if you want to know more you can call us on 1300 432 793.

Am I Eligible?

You are eligible for the voucher component of the program if you are an Australian citizen or permanent resident 21 years or older and you are:
• A Pensioner Concession Card Holder.
• Receiving Sickness Allowance from Centrelink.
• The holder of a Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) Gold Card issued for all conditions.
• The holder of a DVA White Card issued for specific conditions that include hearing loss.
• A dependent of a person in one of the above categories.
• A member of the Australian Defence Force1.
• Part of the Australian Government funded Disability Employment Services (DES) – Disability Management Service and you are referred by your Disability Employment Services case manager.

If you do need a Hearing Aid and you are eligible there are a range of styles you can choose from, depending on what type of hearing loss you have, our audiologists will guide you to choose the best hearing solution for you.

Based on your assessment you will get between $1200 – $1500 funding from the government for a set of hearing aids, and if you wish to go with better technology you can top up the amount as much or a little as you like.

Once you have your hearing aids you will also be eligible to get all batteries and maintenance for a small annual fee.
